It all started in December 2005, when a young boy from southern california, hereafter known simply as "The Jetboat Adventurer," met a young boy who hailed from Albany, Oregon, the grass seed capital of the world. He was soon dubbed, "Rocky" (no resemblance to the movie series, or Sylvester Stallone, thank you very much). While searching online for
proper room and board, The Jetboat Adventurer stumbled upon Rocky's gentle abode, "Castle Greyskull." The Jetboat Adventurer moved in and
the two instantly formed a common bond through their love of music, and
from there they formulated a plan to create a band that addressed their
expressed concerns in a void in the music of today. You can think of it
like this:
"dinosaurs once ruled the earth.
40 hundred thousand locked-up guns killed them."
On the eve of their first practice a friend of the band invited the duo to play at her house show. Being eager to test their newly found chemistry, all musical keepsakes were packed up along with a collection of fruits, jams, breads, and other sandwich-making necessities. Sandwiches were made and served in order to distract the audience, dancing was abound, and butts were moved. Although the music had not yet fully evolved, it was apparent that the two of us were doing exactly what we wanted to be doing, and from there anything went as long as Rocky and The Jetboat Adventurer were creating a fun, musical (sometimes seizure-inducing), extravaganza!! We like to hide, we like to dance. We have been known to play leapfrog and have rock-paper-scissor battles while performing live.
